Union Blood Drives Starting in June
May 28, 2021
It's in your contract! Bargaining Units 2, 3, 4, 9, 13, 14 & 15 are allowed time off for donations.
Did you know the Blood Bank of Hawaii needs 200 donors every day to maintain Hawaii’s blood supply? That one donation of whole blood can save three lives? There is a national shortage of blood donors, so we need to build our resilience with a consistent local supply.
The Hawaii Building & Construction Trades Council (HBCTC) is comprised of 13 labor unions in the State of Hawaii. The HBCTC and Blood Bank of Hawaii are teaming up to help Hawaii’s accident, surgery, and cancer patients. Just your one donation can save up to three lives, and will help fill the need at all 18 local hospitals.
