HGEA members help protect and vaccinate our community

As part of ongoing nationwide efforts, HGEA members are on the frontlines helping administer vaccines to state essential workers at Windward Health Center. "I'm one of the logistics gals. I order, inventory, pick up and deliver supplies likes syringes, needles, bandages and hand sanitizers. I pick up the vaccines and transport it to the clinic. I stock the nurses stations and help them prep needles and syringes. I also do warm calls to follow up on no-shows, call waitlisted kupuna and help with any other tasks when needed," said Haitsuka

Above right: Unit 13 members Yara Sutton and Kimberly Neal helped with registration while more Unit 3 and Unit 13 members handled everything from temperature checks and screening to recording post-visit resident data.
