March 5: COVID-19 update

Hawaii Government Employees Association appreciates that HGEA members are reaching out to inquire what they can do to help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), what their employers are doing and how their collective bargaining rights may be affected due to the State and all four Counties issuing Emergency Proclamations. As of March 5, 2020 there are no confirmed cases in Hawaii. However, it is important to take precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization and the Hawaii Department of Health like frequent handwashing and cleaning of common surfaces to help stop the spread of germs.
