2020 Democratic Party-Run Presidential Primary Election
March 04, 2020
Did you catch last night’s Super Tuesday Presidential primary results? While AFSCME has not endorsed a presidential candidate, we encourage all members to participate in the nomination process. If you’re a registered Democrat, your ballot will be arriving in the mail this week. Since this election is a Party-run Presidential Primary, only registered democrats are allowed to vote.
Click here to register OR participate in-person with same-day registration on April 4 at locations across the state.
Your ballot will arrive in an envelope like the one below. Please read the instruction on the exterior of the envelope to be able to register at alohavote.com; this will allow you to confirm your ballot has been received.
The following presidential candidates have suspended their campaigns, but will still appear on your ballot:
- Pete Buttigieg
- Amy Klobuchar
- Deval Patrick
- Tom Steyer
- Andrew Yang
Per the DNC Rules, viable candidates defined as meeting the 15% threshold in a congressional district will be eligible for district-level delegates. Click HERE for details.
