COVID-19 Guidelines for HGEA Office Visits

June 01, 2020

HGEA highly encourages teleconferences and virtual meetings. All visitors must wear a mask and maintain social distancing of six (6) feet with people whether in the halls, elevators, restrooms, waiting rooms, lobby or conference rooms.
If you are ill, are exhibiting any of the following symptoms, or have been in close contact* with someone that tested positive for COVID19, please go home and call your union agent or point of contact to schedule a virtual meeting.

• Cough
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Fever
• Chills
• Muscle pain
• Sore throat
• New loss of taste or smell
• Other less common symptoms including gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

*Guidelines from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention define “close contact” as anyone who has been within 6 feet of a person infected with a virus for a “prolonged period of time,” or being coughed or sneezed on by an infected person.

Mahalo for keeping each other healthy and safe!
